Good news for 'threads' users + AI tips this christmas


Have you seen Coca-Cola's recent AI-generated Christmas ads? These have sparked a mix of mockery and concerns, highlighting both the potential and limitations of AI in advertising.

The ads aim was to evoke nostalgia with their familiar red delivery trucks and holiday imagery; however, the execution has raised eyebrows, with the AI-generated people appearing unnatural, the trucks gliding without moving wheels, and distorted proportions.

How does this concern us, beauty business bosses?

For beauty business owners, this could be a wake-up call about the limitations of AI in creating polished, relatable content, especially when aiming to connect emotionally with customers.

AI tools are great for things like content creation, and automating video editing (Hi CapCut:)), but they can’t yet replace the human touch. It's something to keep in mind as AI continues to evolve, but it also means there's a unique opportunity for beauty bosses to lead with personal, authentic branding.

Threads is soon going to become more independent of Instagram, as confirmed by Instagram head Adam Mosseri. While it's been linked to Instagram for some time, it's now charting its own course, although it will still use Instagram data for its “For You” feed, which some users feel hinders its potential to provide a unique user experience.
